Sipalay City was named the Grand Winner of the Tourism Excellence Award for Tourism Destination in the City Category for 2025–2027.
The award was given during the inaugural Philippine Tourism Awards, held at Okada Manila in Pasay City on Monday, September 8.
Receiving the award on behalf Sipalay Mayor Maria Gina M. Lizares was Councilor James Anthony Montilla Garrucho and city tourism officer Jerick H. Lacson.
The iconic Ishiwata Bathhouse at Mambukal Resort in Murcia was also recognized as a Pillar Awardee.
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson and Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz accepted the award on behalf of the resort.
