Salubong to kick off MassKara activities at BCGC grounds

The Grand Opening Salubong, Electric MassKara, celebrity concerts, and various family-oriented activities will be held during the 17-day celebration of the MassKara Festival at the Bacolod City Government Center (BCGC) grounds from October 6 to 22.

The BCGC is one of the major festival sites of the 2-week MassKara Festival and will host the Grand Opening Salubong on October 6.

On October 7 the MassKaRide, MAssKaZumba, and MassKara Fun Run at midnight will also be held at the BCGC grounds.

Aspiring kid models will also be featured on October 8, day 3 of the festivities at the site with the “SuperCity’s Little Trendsetter”.

Local short films will be shown to the public for free on October 9 and 16 at the BCGC stage “Yuhum Outdoor Cinema” and viewers will have a chance to avail of free snacks.

A dance showdown and Zumba will also highlight the festivities at the BCGC on October 12 and the Bacolod City Employees Union “Employees Day” on October 13.

Taylor Seesh, renowned impersonator of singer-artist Taylor Swift, will have a concert on October 14 followed by a parade of pets in costumes on October 15 at the “Bacolod Super Pets Parade”.

K-Pop and P-pop dance groups in Bacolod City will also gather at the BCGC stage on October 17 for the “K-Pop and P-Pop in Public”, a variety show featuring dance covers and performances of trending Korean pop music.

A “Worship Night” hosted by various religious groups in Bacolod will also be held on October 18 and a pageant for the LGBTQ+ community called “MassKaReyna” is slated on October 19.

Electric MassKara, one of the festival highlights, will also be held at the BCGC grounds on October 21 followed by a celebrity concert on October 22.

The BCGC grounds will also feature hundreds of food kiosks and food carts, corporate booths, a carnival, and nightly musical bands and DJs at the site’s events stage.*
