PSA conducts training on family income and expenditure survey

The Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Negros Occidental recently conducted their third level training for Machine Data Processing of 2025 Family Income and Expenditure Survey (FIES) Visit 1 at the Provincial Statistical Office of Negros Occidental.

The two-day training equipped participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for the machine data processing of FIES. This is a process that plays a vital role in transforming raw household survey data into accurate, timely and reliable statistics that serve as the foundation for evidence-based policymaking and development planning, a press release from the agency said.

Its primary goal is to ensure that the vast amount of information collected nationwide is processed efficiently, while upholding the highest standards of accuracy, consistency and confidentiality.

The training was led by Negros Occidental PFP Resty John Bancruz, with APFPs Ligaya Gillesania, April Rhea Ponsica, Karl Tribunalo, and FIES V1 APFP Antonietta Gador with 15 hired machine data processors participants.
