PRO-NIR nets 341 arrests, seizes ₱4.2M worth of shabu

Police arrested 341 individuals and seized more than P4.2 million worth of suspected shabu during Simultaneous Anti-Criminality and Law Enforcement Operations conducted across the Negros Island Region from Feb. 4 to 14.

The Police Regional Office–Negros Island Region said the 11-day operation involved 339 synchronized law enforcement activities targeting wanted persons, illegal drugs, loose firearms, and illegal gambling.

Authorities said 83 drug personalities were arrested in 78 anti-illegal drug operations, leading to the confiscation of around 625.9 grams of suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of P4,249,320.

Police also arrested 134 wanted persons in separate manhunt operations, including 37 listed as most wanted and 97 other wanted individuals.

In the campaign against loose firearms, police arrested 20 individuals, seized 20 unlicensed firearms, recovered five explosives, and recorded the voluntary surrender of 64 firearms.

Authorities said 104 more individuals were arrested in 39 operations against illegal gambling, with P18,097 in bet money confiscated.

PRO-NIR said the results reflect sustained, intelligence-driven operations aimed at dismantling criminal networks and strengthening public safety across the region.

Police said intensified anti-criminality operations will continue in coordination with local communities and partner agencies.*
