Police visibility will be increased at Churches and tourist destinations during the celebration of Holy Week in Negros Occidental next week, Col. Rainerio de Chavez, OIC provincial director, assured on Thursday, March 21.
The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office and their counterparts in the towns and cities of Negros Occidental will also be on alert for any untoward incident during Holy Week, Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson said.
The police are ready for Holy Week and will be coordinating with the PDRRMO and the Army to keep it peaceful, de Chavez also said.
They will also be setting up “Lakbay Alalay” teams to assist tourists during the holidays, he said.*
