The police have identified the man who died when his motorcycle collided with a Ceres bus in Brgy. 3, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental, on Saturday, Aug. 17.
La Carlota Deputy Police Chief, Capt. Rosinie Cabuena, told DIGICAST NEGROS on Monday that the victim was Jarell Joseph Ledesma, 25, of Brgy. Taculing, Bacolod City.
He was identified by his aunt, Jocelyn Kapangyarihan, the police said.
The Ceres bus was traversing Gurrea Street while the victim was on Yunque Street when he suddenly crossed resulting in the collision, a police investigation report said.
The Ceres bus driver was identified as Dino Montero, 41, also of Brgy. Taculing, Bacolod.
Ledesma sustained multiple injuries and was brought to the Don Salvador Benedicto Memorial District Hospital where he died.
Montero is now under the custody of the police and an initial settlement between both parties has been reached,
