The Philippine Sugar Technologists Association Inc. (Philsutech) is inviting sugar industry stakeholders to the Technology Transfer and Educational Farm Tour 2025 on February 20-21.
Spearheaded by the Agriculture and Farm Engineering Division, the two-day activity kicks off with technology transfer sessions at the Planta Hotel, Bacolod City on February 20, a press release from Philsutech said Thursday, Feb. 13.
Topics on farm productivity and cost efficiency will be discussed. The second day (February 21) features the educational tour at the Hda. Lucas farm in Kabankalan City.
In line with its goal of providing continuing education for its members on the different facets of sugar production technology, Philsutech offers technical trainings for its members and other industry stakeholders, the press release said.
Simultaneous with the technology transfer and farm tour, the Applied Technology on Bioenergy and Environmental Management Seminar will be held at the Planta Hotel on February 20-21.
This seminar offers updates on government policies related to environmental management and pollution control, and is credited as continuing education units for environmental and pollution control professionals, particularly in the sugar industry, the press release said.
The Philsutech Management Division will also hold a one-day seminar titled “Future-ready Leadership: Integration of Values and AI in the Sugar Industry” at the Planta Hotel on February 21.
The Applied Technology on Sugar Processing organized by the Engineering Division, is slated on March 3-7 at Palmas del Mar Resort, Bacolod City.
The Applied Technology on Energy Management and Utilization will be conducted on March 17-21 at Palmas del Mar Resort, Bacolod City.
The 71st Philsutech Annual National Convention will be held on August 11 to 15 at the Waterfront Hotel, Lahug, and Cebu city*
