
The groundbreaking for a P15 million multi-purpose building that will house the radar station of the Philippine Coast Guard Bacolod Sub Station at the reclamation area in Bacolod City was held Thursday afternoon, March 14.
Bacolod Rep. Greg Gasataya and Uswag Ilonggo Party list Rep. James Ang Jr., who are allocating P15 million from their congressional funds for the building, led the groundbreaking rites.
Also present were Bacolod Real Estate Development Corporation president John Alonte and Director Willy Au, and Philippine Coast Guard and Department of Public Works and Highways officials.
The multi-purpose building will be built on 200 square meters of a 500-square meter lot donated by BREDCO to the PCG.
Alonte signed the deed of donation for the 500-square meter BREDCO lot with PCG Station Northern Negros Occidental Commander Joe Luviz Mercurio Thursday afternoon.*
