A paraplegic was found dead after a fire hit his house at Sitio Bunga-Bunga, Brgy. Nataban, San Carlos City in Negros Occidental, Monday afternoon, February 26.
Ricardo Tignera, 45, died because he was unable to get out of his burning house, the police said.
The Bureau of Fire Protection is looking into the possibility that a lighted a cigarette may have triggered the blaze.
The fire damage was estimated at P25,000, the police said.*
