Police seized about 130 grams of suspected shabu worth P884,000 in a buy-bust operation in Purok Kagaykay, Brgy. 2, Bacolod City, on Wednesday, Nov. 26.
The police also arrested a 56-year-old woman known as “Nang” of Brgy 2.
The operation was conducted by the City Drug Enforcement Unit of the Bacolod City Police Office.
Authorities said the suspect had been reported by a confidential informant to be involved in illegal drug activities in barangays 2, 3, and Banago.
CDEU operatives conducted surveillance before setting up the transaction with a poseur buyer.
Recovered from the suspect were sachets of suspected shabu and the P1,000 buy-bust money.
The suspected illegal drugs were brought to the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Forensic Unit for laboratory examination while the suspect is detained at Police Station 2.*
