The police arrested two suspected drug personalities and seized P884,000 worth of suspected shabu in a buy-bust operation at Purok Magtiayon, Barangay 10, Bacolod City, on Sunday, November 9.
The suspects were identified as alias “Tata,” 24, a high-value individual, and alias “Wilma,” 22, residents of Barangay 10.
Th police said the operation stemmed from information provided by a confidential informant that alias “Tata” was actively selling illegal drugs in the area.
The operation was conducted by the City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) of the Bacolod City Police Office, in coordination with the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
Recovered from the suspects were one sachet of suspected shabu used as the buy-bust item, seven additional sachets and two knot-tied plastic bags containing suspected shabu weighing around 130 grams, a P1,000 bill used as marked money, and other non-drug items.
The seized drugs were turned over to the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Forensic Unit for examination, while the suspects are now detained at Police Station 2.*
