Police seized about P646,000 worth of suspected shabu and arrested five individuals in three separate buy-bust operations in Dumaguete City, Bacolod City, and Talisay City on Sunday night, March 22.
The Police Regional Office–Negros Island Region said a total of 95 grams of suspected shabu were confiscated during the operations.
In Dumaguete City, a high-value individual identified as alias “Roy,” 56, was arrested in Brgy. Bantayan with about 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P340,000.
In Bacolod City, two suspects identified as aliases “Chow-chow,” 23, and “Thea,” 22, were arrested in Brgy. Vista Alegre, yielding about 25 grams of suspected shabu worth P170,000.
In Talisay City, siblings identified as aliases “Ruth,” 30, and “Ran,” 49, were arrested in Brgy. Zone 9, where about 20 grams of suspected shabu worth P136,000 were seized.
All suspects are now under police custody.
Charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 are being prepared against them.*
