Anti-drug operations conducted by the Police Regional Office in Western Visayas (PRO6) over three weeks netted around P25.6 million worth of illegal drugs, with more than half seized in Bacolod City.
The operations, which ran from Dec. 15, 2024 to Jan. 5, 2025, also resulted in the arrest of 140 suspects, the regional police reported on Wednesday, Jan. 15.
The series of 95 operations led to the seizure of around 3,768 grams of shabu and marijuana.
The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) recorded the largest haul with shabu worth P16.5 million, followed by the Iloilo City Police Office with P6.5 million and the Iloilo Police Provincial Office with P1.08 million.
PRO6 regional director Brig. Gen. Jack Wanky, in a press release, ordered police units to maintain the intensity of the campaign in close coordination and collaboration with the different law enforcement agencies, local government units, and the community.*PNA
