A man was killed while another was wounded in shooting and stabbing incidents in Sitio Martisan, Brgy. Winaswasan, Calatrava, Negros Occidental, on Friday afternoon, Oct. 17.
The police identified the victim as alias “Ben,” 38, while the suspect is alias “Richard,” 48, of Brgy. Winaswasan.
Initial investigation showed that the victim was walking toward Sitio Martisan when he encountered the suspect.
The victim allegedly shot the suspect, hitting him in the leg. The suspect then managed to fight back and stab the victim, resulting in his instantaneous death, the police said..
The suspect, despite his injury, fled.*
