
An “arms cache” allegedly owned by the New People’s Army Northern Negros Front was recovered by the Army in Sitio Mocabog, Brgy. Washington, Escalante City, Negros Occidental, on Monday, March 11.
The operatives from the 79th Infantry Battalion dug up an arms cache allegedly belonging to NNF following a series of follow up operations in the area, an Army press release said.
Recovered were a .38 caliber revolver, a homemade 12 gauge shotgun, ammunition, a KMP flag and a camouflage uniform.
Col. Arnel Calaoagan, 791IB Commander, commended the troopers and the community who gave timely and reliable information.
The Army said the cache was discovered following a tip from a concerned citizen.*
