Negrense lawyer Jayvee Hinlo has been nominated to be included in the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino-Lakas ng Bayan (PDP-Laban) senatorial lineup for the 2025 elections.
He was nominated during the PDP-Laban National Assembly headed by its national chairman former President Rodrigo Duterte in Davao City on Friday, Sept. 20.
“During the National Assembly PDP Laban Negros Occidental through our vice president, former Victorias City Mayor Wantan Palanca publicly nominated me to be included in the senatorial slate of the party representing Negros Occidental, the Negros Island Region, the Visayas and the Ilonggos”, Hinlo confirmed.
Hinlo is the PDP Laban Deputy Secretary General for Visayas and its Provincial Council President for Negros Occidental.

Hinlo’s nomination is presently under consideration by the party leadership.
The three confirmed senatorial candidates of PDP-Laban so far are Sen. Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go, Sen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa, and actor Philip Salvador.
Meanwhile, Palanca will decide whether to run for governor of Negros Occidental or not this week, Hinlo said.*
