NOCECO rates down 60 centavos in March

The Negros Occidental Electric Cooperative announced a 60-centavo decrease per kilowatt-hour in its current electricity rates for March.

Its electricity rate this month is P13.9595/kWh, about P0.6030 lower compared to P14.5625/kWh last month, a NOCECO press release said.

The electric cooperative attributed the decrease to the lower transmission and systems loss charges.

“However, as we approach the hotter months, we anticipate a surge in electricity demand and potential supply constraints”, NOCECO said.

“We encourage everyone to be mindful of their energy consumption to help manage costs and ensure stable supply”, it added.

NOCECO assured that it will provide reliable electricity service at the most affordable cost possible and is seeking solutions to minimize the impact of fluctuating electricity prices.

The Negros Electric and Power Corporation and Northern Negros Electric Cooperative have yet to release their electricity rates for March.*
