Negros Oriental police arrested the eighth most wanted person in the Negros Island Region (NIR) in Siaton town on Monday, November 3.
The suspect, identified only as alias “Michael,” a 29-year-old farmer from Sitio Calangag, Brgy. Bonawon, Siaton, was captured during a joint operation by the Siaton Municipal Police Station and the 5th Maneuver Company of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion–NIR.
Authorities served a warrant of arrest for murder issued by Judge Richelle Alistado Noblefranca of the Regional Trial Court Branch 44 in Dumaguete City.
The court recommended no bail.
The suspect is accused of hacking his victim to death following a drinking session, allegedly fueled by a long-standing grudge related to the killing of the suspect’s brother.
Alias “Michael” is now under the custody of the Siaton Police Station for proper legal disposition.*
