The Police Regional Office Negros Island Region (PRO NIR) arrested the Region’s eight most wanted person in an operation along Dr. V. Locsin Street, Brgy. Poblacion 7, Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental, on Saturday, Oct. 4.
The police identified the suspect only as alias “Louie,” 26, a jobless resident of Brgy. Cansumalig, Bayawan City in Negros Oriental.
The police said the suspect, who previously worked as a security guard, allegedly sexually assaulted the daughter of an apartment caretaker and threatened to kill her if she reported the crime.
The operation was carried out by the Dumaguete City Police Station, by virtue of a warrant for three counts of rape under Article 266-A of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by Republic Act 11648.
No bail was recommended and he is now under police custody for proper legal disposition.*
