The police arrested 39 individuals and seized an estimated P17.59 million worth of suspected shabu in a week-long series of operations in the Negros Island Region (NIR) from Aug. 11 to 17.
Law enforcers conducted 29 anti-drug operations that led to the confiscation of 2,587.6 grams of suspected shabu valued at P17,595,680, the Police Regional Office–NIR reported.
During the same period, the police also carried out 19 anti-illegal gambling operations, arresting 52 persons and confiscating P8,902 in bet money.
They also conducted 35 operations against loose firearms, resulting in the arrest of nine suspects, the recovery of eight firearms, and the voluntary surrender of 24 others.
Meanwhile, 91 wanted persons were also apprehended, including 14 tagged as most wanted and 77 with standing warrants of arrest, the PRO NIR report said.*
