Negros Occidental police provincial director, Col. Romy Palgue, warned the public on Sunday, September 26, against unscrupulous individuals who pretend to be him to ask for money from unsuspecting victims.
Palgue said an individual from Binalbagan received a call on Saturday, September 25, from someone claiming to be him who asked for a donation.
Palgue said he has already directed his men to investigate and track down the person behind the scam, who used the number 09065771699.
“We ask for the assistance of the public especially (for) information that would help us identify and apprehend the person who uses the said cell number to stop him from victimizing unwary individuals,” Palgue said.*
