
The death toll from Typhoon “Tino” has risen to 36 with 63 missing in Negros Island.
La Castellana had the most number of casualties at 10 followed by Hinigaran with 5, La Carlota City – 4, Bago City – 3, San Carlos City – 3, and Murcia – 2, the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMCO) reported tonight, Nov. 5.
Missing in Negros Occidental were 45 with 23 in La Castellana, 11 in La Carlota City, 7 in Bago City and 4 in Hinigaran, the PDRRMO said
There were also nine dead in Negros Oriental – eight in Canlaon City and one in Vallehermoso, PLt. Stephen Polinar, Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office spokesperson, said.
Missing in Canlaon City were 18 persons, he added.*
