The Negros Electric and Power Corp. assured Mayor Greg Gasataya that it will fully restore power in Bacolod City by Friday, Nov. 7
Negros Power said it restored power to 56.6 percent of the households in its coverage area at 9 p.m. Thursday, with 43.4 percent more to go.
Clearing operations have been completed in 48 of 244 affected areas, enabling Negros Power to continue power restoration and repair of toppled poles, a Bacolod City Communications Office (BCCO) press release said.
Meanwhile, Gasataya urged BACIWA–PrimeWater to intensify efforts to stabilize water supply and called on telecommunication companies to ensure the restoration of reliable network connections throughout the city.*
