Curfews remain in Negros Occidental and Bacolod City with the extension of Alert Level 2 until January 15 as a deterrent against the spread of COVID-19.

Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson and Bacolod Mayor Evelio Leonardia issued separate executive orders on December 31 extending the Alert Level 2 status of the province and city as set by the National Inter-Agency Task Force.

Curfew for minors remains from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m. and for everyone else from midnight to 4 a.m. in Negros Occidental, Lacson said.

In Bacolod City, curfew reverted back to 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. after the Christmas holidays, Leonardia said.

Intrazonal and interzonal travel into Bacolod and Negros Occidental is allowed provided travelers present COVID-19 vaccinations cards.

Travelers who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19 will be required to present a negative RT-PCR test result obtained within 72 hours prior to arrival.

Negros Occidental also requires travelers to obtain an S-PASS, an electronic or printed copy of the approved travel coordination permit issued by the Safe, Swift and Smart Passage travel management system.

The selling and consumption of alcoholic drinks in public places in Bacolod City will be allowed only from noon to 10 p.m., Leonardia said.*
