The Negros Occidental hog industry losses hit P186,633,250 on Sunday, July 9, the Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO) reported.
The pig deaths in Negros Occidental from hog cholera, African swine fever and other diseases were at 16,361, with the bulk of the fatalities in the 4th District with 10,466.
This has affected 3,546 pig raisers in 148 barangays in 19 out of 31 local government units in Negros Occidental, the PVO reported.*
