Two electric cooperatives in Negros Occidental have lower power rates this month.
The power rates of Central Negros Electric Cooperative (CENECO) and Northern Negros Electric Cooperative (NONECO) are down by 59 centavos.
CENECO said the average residential rate for March will be P10.9210 per kWh from P11.5123 last month.
It attributed the decrease to the net reduction in generation, transmission and systems loss charges, as well as other pass through charges.
Danny Pondevilla, NONECO general manager, said their rates are also down 59 centavos.*
