A motorcycle rider died after figuring in a road accident along the circumferential road in Purok Active, Brgy. Mandalagan, Bacolod City, on Thursday night, January 8.
Police identified the victim as Quirico Aribas Oro Jr., 38, a resident of Purok Bayanihan, Brgy. Banago.
The victim was riding a Suzuki Skydrive motorcycle and was traveling from north to south when he allegedly hit a gutter and was thrown off the motorcycle at around 9:36 p.m., the police investigation showed.
The victim was treated by responding ambulance personnel and rushed to the Corazon Locsin Memorial Regional Hospital, where he was later declared dead.
PMaj. Elmer Bonilla, chief of the Traffic Management Unit, said authorities are still determining the reason why the motorcycle hit the gutter.*
