Moises Padilla inaugurates ₱3.7M crisis center for women and children

The local government of Moises Padilla  inaugurated and blessed its new ₱3.7-million Municipal Crisis Center on Tuesday, August 19, 2025.

Mayor Ella Celestina D. Garcia-Yulo and Vice Mayor Pimpoy Yulo led the ceremony, joined by members of the Sangguniang Bayan, a press release from Moises Padilla said.

The blessing was officiated by Rev. Fr. Gabriel Moncada and Rev. Fr. Jose Gerson Te-ad.

The new facility will serve as a safe haven for women and children who are victims of abuse or are facing personal crises. It will offer them protection and crucial support, the mayor said.

Funded by the town’s 20 percent  Development Fund, the project was overseen by project engineer Engr. Agnes Glia T. Mabag.

 Management and operations of the center will be handled by the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), led by Kersey O. Sumadhay.

Garcia-Yulo emphasized that the center’s establishment is a significant step toward securing a brighter and safer future for the community’s women and children.*
