Bacolod Mayor Greg Gasataya said on Friday, Sept. 12, that he has received more complaints against a Bacolod City College teacher whom he dismissed for sexual harassment.
Gasataya had said earlier that he ordered the immediate dismissal of a BCC instructor after a sexual harassment complaint was lodged by a female student.
City Legal Officer Karol Joseph Chiu said the teacher had sent inappropriate text messages to the student.
The instructor has filed a motion for reconsideration, which Gasataya has asked the CLO to review.
Gasataya said he has received more sexual harassment complaints against the instructor through text messages that have to be validated.
“We will ensure that as long as the complaints are verified and valid, we will definitely act on them,” Gasataya said.*
