
The sons of presidential candidate Ferdinand Marcos Jr. were in Negros Occidental Friday and Saturday (April 22 and 23) to campaign for their father and his runningmate Sara Duterte Carpio.
Vincent and Simon Marcos thanked those who attended rallies in Pontevedra and Bago City on Friday for their support, Vice Gov. Jeffrey Ferrer said.
About 3,500 Marcos supporters joined the rally at the Pontevedra gym and 5,500 at the Bago coliseum, Ferrer said.
The sons of Marcos were joined by the vice governor, his wife Rep. Juliet Ferrer (Negros Occ., 4th District), Rep. Stephen Paduano (Abang Lingkod), Board Member Jose Benito Alonso, candidate for board member Andrew Martin Torres, Bago Mayor Nicholas Yulo, Vice Mayor Ramon Torres, city councilors and barangay officials in Bago City.
The Ferrers and Paduano also joined the sons of Marcos at the Pontevedra rally attended by Board Member Alonso, Mayor Jose Maria Alonso, Vice Mayor Jimmy Gavan, councilors and barangay officials.
The Marcoses also met with mayors Mark Golez of Silay City and Enrique Miravalles of Valladolid.
A gathering of the youth for Marcos and Sara Duterte will be held at the Paglaum Sports Stadium in Bacolod City on April 30, Ferrer said.
There is no schedule for Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to return to Negros Occidental yet, but he is working on it, Ferrer added.*
