A man was shot dead while another was wounded after four unidentified armed men entered a house in Calatrava, Negros Occidental, on Friday night, June 5.
Police said the incident happened at around 7:45 p.m. in Sitio Peson, Brgy. Minautok.
The fatality was identified as alias “Momar,” a resident of the area.
Initial investigation by the Calatrava Municipal Police Station showed the victim was inside his residence when four armed men arrived and forcibly entered the house.
Police said one of the suspects shot the victim several times using an unknown caliber of firearm, hitting him in the head and other parts of his body.
The victim died on the spot, while the other suspects allegedly served as lookouts during the attack.
A second victim, identified as alias “Rodel,” 22, a sugarcane laborer, was slightly hit by a bullet on his right toe.
He is in stable condition at the Calatrava Municipal Hospital.
The suspects fled in an unknown direction after the shooting.*
