
A 46-year-old man was killed in a stabbing incident allegedly involving his wife and her purported lover in Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental, on Tuesday, June 30.
Police identified the victim as alias “Ed,” a resident of Sitio Batilo, Brgy. Po-ok.
The suspects were identified as alias “Ge,” 56, of Brgy. Talacagay, and alias “Jima,” 52, the victim’s wife.
Police said a concerned citizen reported the discovery of the victim’s body at around 7:30 a.m.
The victim was found with multiple stab wounds.
Based on statements obtained from the victim’s minor children, the couple allegedly had a heated argument at around midnight over marital issues involving a third party.
Police said Ge, who was described as the alleged lover of the victim’s wife, later entered the residence and stabbed the victim.
The victim sustained multiple stab wounds to the neck and was declared dead on arrival by an attending physician.
Both suspects allegedly fled after the incident but were later arrested during police operations.
Authorities recovered a bolo believed to have been used in the killing from Ge’s possession.
The suspects are under police custody while appropriate criminal complaints are being prepared.*
