A 40-year-old man was found dead in a sugarcane field in Barangay San Miguel, La Carlota City, Negros Occidental, Friday morning, June 4.
The victim was identified as Diovanie Bedonia of Barangay Ma-ao, Bago City.
Residents heard gunshots the night before, but the police only recovered the body the following day, a police report said.
The police have yet to establish the motive of the killing. They are still investigating the incident.*
