A Mabinay, Negros Oriental, resident died while two others were injured when they were hit by a pickup truck while they were waiting for a ride in front of a hardware in Brgy. Pahanocoy, Bacolod City, early Saturday morning, Feb. 15.
The fatality was identified by the police only as “Alex”, 39, of Mabinay, while those injured were “Ambrocio”, 69, and his nephew “Diego”, 58, of Brgy. Sum-ag, Bacolod.
The police said while the victims were waiting for a ride the pick-up truck driven by alias “Jericho”, 23, of Brgy. Balingasag, Bago City, swerved towards the gutter and hit them.
The police said a settlement between the families of the victims and the driver of the pickup has been reached.*
