LTO-NIR records 41 violations in Bacolod traffic crackdown

The Land Transportation Office–Negros Island Region recorded 41 violations during a two-day law enforcement operation in Bacolod City.

The operations were conducted on May 11 and 12 in Brgy. Taculing and along Lacson Street, the LTO NIR reported on Monday, May 18.

Authorities said 10 LTO personnel and four personnel from the Philippine National Police Traffic Enforcement Unit were deployed during the operation.

The activity focused on roadside inspections, enforcement of Republic Act 4136 or the Land Transportation and Traffic Code, implementation of the “No Registration, No Travel” policy, and anti-colorum operations.

The violations included unregistered vehicles, reckless driving, helmet and seatbelt violations, unlicensed drivers, and defective vehicle accessories.

Several motorcycles and vehicles were also impounded during the two-day operation.
