The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB ) has authorized the operation of 1,099 Modernized Jeepney’s (MJ) in Bacolod City.
The 1,099 MJs are expected to all be plying the streets of Bacolod by April 1, 2023, a Bacolod Public Information Office report said Thursday. November 10.
The awarded units as of November 10 were already 1,046, with 53 unawarded, the report said.
The report also said 175 more MJs will be operating in Bacolod City by November 15 in nine routes:
• Northbound Terminal – Libertad;
• Bata – Libertad;
• Eroreco – Central Market;
• Punta Taytay – Fr. Ferrero St.;
• Alijis (RPHS) – Central Market;
• Mansilingan- Central Market via City Heights;
• Fortune Towne/Estefania – Central Market;
• San Dionisio – Central Market; and
• PHHC (Homesite)- Central Market.
Routes already awarded/taken are:
• Banago – Libertad;
• Bata – Libertad;
• Northbound Terminal – Libertad;
• Pepsi – Bata – BCGC;
• Shopping – Northbound Terminal;
• Shopping – Libertad via USLS;
• Shopping – Libertad via San Agustin;
• Eroreco – Central Market;
• Pta. Taytay – Fr. Ferrero St.;
• Tangub – South Capitol Road;
• Airport Subd – South Capitol Road;
• Taculing – Central Market;
• Alijis (RPHS) – Central Market;
• Handumanan – Libertad;
• Mansilingan – Central Market via City Heights;
• Fortune Town/Estefania – Central Market;
• Granada – Burgos;
• Alangilan – Burgos;
• San Dionisio – Central Market; and
• PHHC (Homesite) – Central Market.
The routes with no takers are:
• Paglaum-Libertad Loop – 10 units;
• Alingalan-Burgos – 10 units;
• Doña Juliana-Central Market – 13 units;
• Bredco Port-North Bus Terminal – 10 units; and
• CEGASCO-Government Center – 10 units.*
