Let’s respect each others’ choices for president: VG

Let us respect each others’ choices for president, Negros Occidental Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer said on Monday, February 21.

Ferrer, who is supporting presidential aspirant Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and his runningmate Sara Duterte Carpio, said he has been a victim of bashers on social media.

“Make your candidate win and we will work to make our candidate win. Let us respect each other,” he said, adding that he has not said anything bad about the candidate of his bashers.

Everyone should have the freedom of choice, he said.

“Those who are saying Negros is pink country are the pinks. We have not said that Negros is BBM-Sara country but we will try to support our candidates,” he said.

Ferrersaid the rally for Marcos and his team at the reclamation area in Bacolod City will be a show of force with about 80,000 supporters expected.

Twenty-five mayors of Negros Occidental are supporting Marcos, and he will reveal the others who are joining after Wednesday, he said.

However, only the national candidates will be on stage during the Bacolod rally on Wednesday, he said.

A caravan for Marcos’ UniTeam will kick off from Silay City at 3:30 p.m. and converge at the reclamation area for the rally that will start at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Ferrer said.

Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson, when asked if he would attend the rally, said that is the activity of the vice governor.

Lacson has not announced whom he is supporting for president but is widely believed to be for Vice President Leni Robredo.*
