Kiko treats health workers, Covid patients on birthday

Rep. Francisco “Kiko” Benitez marked his 52nd birthday by distributing 2,000 foodpacks to healthcare workers and patients confined at the Teresita L. Jalandoni Provincial Hospital (TLJPH) in Silay City and at healing and quarantine facilities in the Third District of Negros Occidental.

Attached to the foodpacks were cards from the congressman that read: “We thank the Lord for the gift of life, as we pray for healing. Kabay pa nga ikaw kag ang imu pamilya maka-angkon sang maayong lawas, kalinong kag kabaskug.”

The foodpacks were distributed at the TLJPH, Silay Healing Facility and Silay Recovery Center in Silay City; Mambukal Resort, Murcia National High School, Murcia East Elementary School, CPAC Quarantine Facility and Alegria Elementary School in Murcia; Rafael B. Lacson Memorial High School and Notre Dame of Talisay in Talisay City; Provincial Healing Center in Barangay Sto. Niño and the Tumandok Quarantine Facility in EB Magalona; and Victorias Elementary School and Cuaycong Healing Facility in Victorias City.

The Covid-19 patients confined at the TLJPH Provincial Hospital and the healing facilities of the third district on June 18 also received financial assistance from Benitez.

“With gratitude in our hearts, we thank you for this gesture Cong. Kiko. We are humbled that as you celebrate your birthday we are part of that celebration and you always think of the welfare of the frontliners. Madamo gid nga Salamat,” the TLJPH health workers said in a message sent to Benitez.*
