The Kanlaon Recovery and Development Plan will be finalized during a meeting with members of the National Task Force Kanlaon in Bacolod City on September 15 and 16.
The local governments affected by the volcano’s eruption will present their programs and activities related to the Kanlaon Recovery and Development Plan, Regional Director Donato Sermeno III of the Office of the Civil Defense Negros Island Region , said.
The Kanlaon affected LGUs will present their plans on the first day, he said.
On the second day, the various agencies will craft the Kanlaon Recovery and Development Plan in order to include it in the 2026 national budget, he said.
The Office of the Civil Defense presented the damage and losses assessment caused by the volcanic eruption on Monday, he said.*
