In response Mayor Javier Miguel “Javi” Benitez cancelled face-to-face classes at all levels in both public and private schools in Victorias City on Monday.
He said the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration forecast of 42 degrees Celsius poses a serious and dangerous threat to students and residents of Victorias.
He directed schools to adopt alternative modes of learning.
