Javi donates thermal drone to police, hikes JO salaries

Victorias City Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez personally donated a DJI MAVIC Enterprise drone set to the 605th Maneuver Company and Victorias City Police Station to augment their daily operations on Monday, January 15.

Thee 605th Maneuver Company led by its new company commander, PMaj. John Salvador Bello, and the Victorias police led by Lt. Col. Roy Rodrigo Gutierrez paid their traditional New Year’s Call to the city mayor.

The 605th Maneuver Company thanked the mayor in a Facebook post that read: “Your strong support and dedication to enhancing the capabilities of our law enforcement agencies are admirable. We appreciate your ongoing efforts to equip our men in uniform with the latest tools and technologies necessary to safeguard our community”.

The drone will enable their team to navigate challenging environments, gather essential information, and respond effectively, the 605th Maneuver Company said.

The unit will be used for intelligence monitoring, area reconnaissance, and other relevant tasks, it added.

Job order workers of Victorias on Monday also felt the promised increase in their daily wage, Benitez also said.

It increased from P450 to 480 a day, he said.

Benitez also announced that the P2.3 million Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) incentive fund received by Victorias City will be utilized for the upgrading of the software and hardware at the city’s Business One-Stop Shop.*
