Presidential candidate Isko Moreno Damagoso said he is offering peace of mind to the Filipino people amid the numerous problems that they are facing.

Moreno held rallies in Binalbagan and Bacolod City, and met with Mayor Evelio Leonardia and cheering Grupo Progreso supporters at the Bacolod City Government Center on Thursday, April 28.

“The people are tired of the infighting of the red and yellow,” Moreno told the crowd at the government center.

“We don’t deserve infighting of warring political colors,” he said.

“I am encouraging you, come with me, join me, we’ll move on. We will not forget what happened in the past so we will remember what not to do and what to copy,” he said.

Moreno also vowed to continue the fight for the presidency to the end and promised to provide the Filipino people with their minimum basic needs.

His group is overwhelmed by the warm welcome they are getting everywhere they go, they can feel the silent majority behind them, Moreno said.

Moreno said in 2019 when he ran for mayor of Manila, one week before the election a survey showed him in third place but he won by 51 percent.

“All I need is the same chance that the people of Manila gave me at a very young age,” he said.

He thanked Leonardia for his welcome and lauded his achievements.

Leonardia said he is staying neutral in the choice of a presidential bet. He received Moreno very warmly because he is a friend, the mayor said.

Moreno was accompanied by his runningmate, Willy Ong, senatorial bets Samira Gutoc, Jopet Sison and John Castriciones, and Mocha Uson of the Mothers for Change (MoCha) Party-list.

A fourth senatorial bet on his ticket, Carl Balita, was not present.*
