All inbound travelers who underwent rapid antigen tests (RAT) at the Bacolod-Silay Airport on their arrival from Manila had non-reactive results on Tuesday, February 1, Negros Occidental Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said.
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson’s Executive Order No. 22-03 Series of 2022, which provides free RAT tests for inbound passengers to protect Negros Occidental residents during the Omicron variant surge in other parts of the country, took effect Tuesday.
Diaz said many of the passengers on the five flights from Manila Tuesday already had negative COVID-19 test results prior to arrival.
They only administered RAT tests on 23 untested passengers and they were all non-reactive, he said.*
