Himamaylan mayor raises complaints to PrimeWater 

Mayor Raymund Tongson presides over a meeting on water complaints in Himamaylan City.* 

Mayor Raymund Tongson met with the officers of PrimeWater and the Himamaylan Water District to explore solutions after the city government received several water quality complaints from residents. 

The mayor met with Engr. Daryl Jay Peguis, PrimeWater Himamaylan branch manager, and Engr. Joel Gellecanao, Himamaylan Water District general manager, a press release from Himamaylan City said Wednesday, June 12. 

“Himamaylanons need improved access to clean and sufficient water,” Tongson said. 

Tongson said the meeting was held to resolve the complaints of residents. 

“This intervention is very helpful in order to provide quick solutions to the problems brought to our office by our fellow Himamaylanons,” he added. 

The recent drought has also brought to light pressing issues in terms of accessibility to clean water during calamities and emergency situations, the mayor said. 

“Rest assured that the complaints, feedback, reports of our citizens are heard,” Tongson said. 

The mayor was joined by city government officers, some punong barangays and Acting City Fire Marshal Mario Niel Joevic Eufan at the meeting.*
