Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson visited the vegetable farms of the Brgy. Robles Farmers Association in La Castellana and Mailum Organic Village Association in Bago City Friday to see how the provincial government can further improve their livelihoods.

The governor lauded the farmers for their enthusiasm in agriculture that contributes a lot in sustaining the province’s food security, a press release from the Capitol said.

The provincial government is ready to help the farmers and their associations so their productivity and income will increase, Lacson said.

The farmers plant vegetables and other high value crops.

They said they are thankful for the livelihood assistance, such as vegetable seeds and other farm implements, extended to them by the provincial government through the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist.

Mayor Rhumyla Nicor-Mangilimutan of La Castellana and Mayor Nicholas Yulo of Bago City welcomed Lacson in their respective LGUs.*
