Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson has ordered the temporary closure of all public and private memorial parks, cemeteries and columbaries in Negros Occidental from October 30 to November 2.
Lacson issued Executive Order 21-47, Series of 2021, imposing the temporary closure to prevent an influx of people and mass gatherings during All Saint’s and Soul’s days because of the rising number of COVID-19 cases in Negros Occidental.
All component cities and municipalities under the province of Negros Occidental are directed to comply and implement the executive order through their respective Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office, Traffic Management Authority, Philippine National Police and force multipliers, Lacson said.
All persons and establishments who do not comply with the EO will face appropriate administrative and criminal sanctions, he said.*
