Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson has named Dina Genzola officer-in-charge of the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist.
Genzola, OPA supervising agriculturist, will head the office pending the appointment of a permanent provincial agriculturist, Lacson said Wednesday, June 30.
Provincial Agriculturist Japhet Masculino is retiring Thursday, July 1.
Lacson said an outsider is being interviewed for the post of provincial agriculturist.
“We will have to decide if he will be the right person,” he said.
Three show cause orders have been issued against Masculino for unpaid catering services, the purchase of a grain dryer that was under specification and for 23 uncompleted irrigation projects.*
