Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson said the inauguration of new and upgraded facilities at the Mambukal Resort and Wildlife Sanctuary on Thursday, March 26, reaffirms its place as one of the icons of tourism in Negros Occidental.

The event marked the opening of the Camp Nolan trail, power house, river dipping area, and Garden Café at the resort located in Murcia, Negros Occidental, which is owned by the provincial government.

With initiatives like this, we continue to give new life into the resort—ensuring that it remains relevant, vibrant, and competitive in today’s tourism landscape, the governor said.

He said the newly inaugurated facilities are only the beginning of many more developments, not just for Mambukal, but for the entire province.

“Together, let us continue to position Negros Occidental as a destination that offers not only beauty, but meaningful experiences,” Lacson said.

The newly built and rehabilitated facilities at the resort were inaugurated and turned over in a ceremony led by Lacson, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando P. Diaz II, Mambukal Resort OIC Shiela Fuentes, and Board Member Andrew Montelibano.

The blessing was officiated by Rev. Fr. Rosmon C. Valenciano.*
