Guv: Flights to Negros increased, unvaxxed still need antigen tests

Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson issued an executive order Monday, February 28, extending Alert Level 2 in Negros Occidental until March 15 and granting additional flights to the province.

Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific will each be allowed three Manila-Bacolod-Manila flights a day and Air Philippines will be allowed two, Lacson said in Executive Order 22-08 Series of 2022.

Airline companies may also avail of one additional inbound Manila-Bacolod cargo-only flight and one additional outbound Bacolod-Manila passenger flight per day, he said.

Philippine Airlines will also be allowed three Cebu-Bacolod-Cebu flights, and Cebu Pacific four flights per week, he also said.

All sea vessels will be allowed to admit passengers up to 50 percent of their capacity, he said.

All incoming passengers will still be required to present an S-Pass and a COVID-19 vaccination card for those who are fully vaccinated.

The provincial government will conduct rapid antigen tests for incoming passengers free of charge.

The provincial government will also honor rapid antigen test results prior to travel.

Curfew and the rest of the restrictions previously imposed under Alert Level 2 will remain until March 15, the governor said.*
