Mayor Greg Gasataya convened a coordination meeting with key city departments this morning at the Bacolod City Plaza to ensure peace and order ahead of a rally scheduled for 1 p.m. today , Sept. 21, by various organizations.
“We want to assure them that, in terms of traffic management, the city will provide assistance. Let’s do this so that we can air out our sentiments in a peaceful manner,” the mayor said.
The mayor also inspected the ongoing rehabilitation project managed by the Tourism Infrastructure and Enterprise Zone Authority (TIEZA), a press release from the Bacolod City Communications Office said.
Gasataya expressed confidence that ongoing works, including drainage repairs by the Department of Public Works and Highways, would be completed before the MassKara Festival’s opening on October 1.*
